Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of this website (the “Site”), operated by IndyCar Officiating, Inc. (“IOI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Purpose of the Site

The Site exists to publish official officiating documents—such as post-event reports, race director’s bulletins, stewards’ decisions, and technical bulletins—for convenient public reference. The Site is an informational publishing platform; it does not provide accounts, transactions, or interactive services.

2. Official records and discrepancies

The documents on the Site are provided for convenient reference. In the event of any discrepancy between a document as displayed or downloaded here and IOI’s official, controlled record of that document, the official controlled record governs. Posting of a document on the Site does not by itself constitute official service or notice unless IOI separately designates it as such.

Documents may be added, amended, superseded, or removed at any time as officiating matters develop. We do not warrant that any document on the Site is the most current version.

3. No warranties

The Site and its contents are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.

4. Accessibility

We aim to make the Site and its published documents accessible, including by providing documents in a tagged, screen-reader-compatible PDF format. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact us using the details below so we can assist and improve.

5. Intellectual property

The Site’s original content, layout, and design, and the documents authored by IOI, are the property of IOI or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view, download, and print documents from the Site for your own informational and non-commercial reference. You may not republish, redistribute for commercial purposes, modify, or create derivative works from the Site’s content without our prior written permission, except as permitted by law.

“INDYCAR,” the INDYCAR and FIA marks and logos, team names, sponsor names, and driver names referenced in the documents are the property of their respective owners. They appear on the Site for identification and official-reporting purposes only, and their use here does not imply any endorsement by, or ownership claim over, those owners’ marks.

6. Acceptable use

When using the Site, you agree not to:

use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or regulation;
attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its server, or any connected systems;
interfere with or disrupt the Site’s operation, integrity, or security;
introduce malware or any other harmful code; or
use automated means to access or scrape the Site in a manner that imposes an unreasonable burden on our infrastructure.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IOI and its officers, board members, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any document on it, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Third-party links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We provide these links for convenience only and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is handled in connection with the Site.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Indiana.
